An APBA "race circular" actually has the dates as Feb. 2-4, with Feb 2 as the day for the drivers meeting, Feb. 3 as the planned kilo run day and Feb. 4 as an alternate day, https://www.apba.org/internal/print_sanction.php?EditID=12947. The dates in the story have been changed to reflect this information.

Their ramp is about 100 yards away. A few 100 yard idle out and they have open river. They can make a run, return to make a change and test again in less time then most places will take to simply launch. I would say they can test more in a day then most places could in a week.
