Keys' Boy Arrested For Stabbing Kids With Needle


MARATHON (CBS4) ― A Middle Florida Keys kid has been turned over to Juvenile Justice authorities for needling some of his classmates – literally.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said the 11-year-old Marathon boy was standing in line in his school's cafeteria last Thursday when he stabbed two 9-year-old boys in their buttocks with a hypodermic needle. He then reportedly started chasing a third boy, who ran and hid. The two boys who were stabbed told a teacher what had happened. The teacher reportedly found the needle hidden in the 11-year-old's back pack.

The boy, who was charged Wednesday with two counts of battery and one count of assault, was booked at the Marathon Detention Center.
