You have to spell everything out in detail for me, remember I am blond
so are you saying the glass that I like can not be used with the gel.
So if I got one of those round fire pits I could not put the glass in it if we are not hooked up to propane or natural gas.

The gel is in a can, you pry off the lid and light it. You could surround cans of gel with the rocks but the rocks are really for natural gas or propane.
