Ferrari Run....Pics....

Is the Cobra real?

Both the red and the black Cobras are real. Here's the sign from the red one and the black one was also raced and had pics of it back in the day racing. I'm not a big cobra fan, but it's cool to see some serious originals.

That note is funny...there's a guy with an original 289 Cobra that brings it to our local Thursday night car show every week. He's got a different motor in it right now, but has the original at home in the garage. Has the same kind of note on it! His brother has an original 427...he brought it to the show once...I just stood between the two of them until the puddle of drool became embarrasingly deep...:)

If it's stock, it's 480 hp <claimed> but every engine is handbuilt in one room by one tech at the factory in Japan, so they say they take on the personalities of the tech that built em. I've heard 500 hp to the wheels on some factory freaks...

0-60 in 3.2
193 mph top speed

...and I've got two for sale. :sifone: Black on black, and red on gray.

$81k. :drool5:

You forgot to mention that it also beat a 997 Turbo around the Nurburgring. :sifone:

I don't care for the looks of the GT-R, but you can't argue with it's performance.

And if it's the car I think it is, that guy drives the sh*t out of it on the track. I think he nearly punted a Ferrari 250LM off the track on corner exit (turn 11) at Monterey a couple of years ago.

Cool pics. Here's some from the last car show in Naples. Some stuff I've never seen in person before.

Some beautiful cars for sure. Did anybody try running with the ZR1?

You asking me? If so, no. It was pretty much general consensus it would spank everything that was running with us. :sifone: Even my buddy with the Porsche (that was the second fastest car) said the Vette would take him in a straight line.

Awesome meet up. Over on 6speedonline there was a post about CHP pulling over a bunch of these car for street racing.
