Favorite Key West Restaurants/Bars

I was bummed I forgot to bring a copy of this thread to KW:smash: I was wondering if on this year's trip if anyone found new places that they loved. Ian let me talk him into trying Cuban food. After it was highly recommended by a bunch of locals we tried El Siboney. It's an out of the way, no atmosphere kind of place. We both liked it ALOT. The Cuban bread was to die for and so was the half of baked chicken, the pulled pork was also tasty:drool5: I can't get the chicken out of my head so I attempted to recreate it this weekend. The waitress said it was marinated in Mojo. I have not found Mojo in MI so I after finding several receipes on line I made my own. Mine was good but not even close to El Siboney's:(
nhttp://www.elsiboneyrestaurant.com/ Several of the other places we liked were Duffy's, the Tai place next to Guy Harvey's, Kelly's, and of course the pizza place by Rick's

The food at Guy Harvey's wasn't bad at all. Best thing I had was the lobster po-boy at the Westin deck bar. It's one of Key West's hidden treats. Awesome sandwich.

We had a time share at the Galleon during mini lobster season. Swim out to get fresh lobsters and toss them on the grill- good stuff! You need baby powder by the bucket in KW at the end of July...

Again...Blue Haven is the best breakfast in the world. The worst part is I gotta wait till next year to eat there again.

the guest house we stayed at was on the next corner, we passed it several times a day, can't believe we never tried it, but we rebooked our room for next year so I will be sure to try it then,

The KW Citizen puts out a Menu Magazine once a year and it is very informative and if you remind me next year I'll make sure a bunch of them are available.
I didn't see Half Shell Raw Bar mentioned or Rusty Anchor. Rusty Anchor is out on Stock Island but one of the BEST and Reggie's favorite for stone crabs.....and no need for a car, he and Benny and their group went there in a triple golf cart. That's where the best stone crabs are.
I find it very funny that our (us locals) list of restaurants was so different than you all listed.......:)
BTW......I'm staying longer at the party next year.......meeting 50 people in 30 min wasn't good enough for such a great bunch of people. Can't wait.
