Fall rockfish (stripers)

Leaving work now, running a few errands and then hoping to catch a few. I've been told that the BIG ones are showing up in my area of the Bay. We'll see about that!!! :cheers2:

Nice!!!! You are down south from me. Reedville?? My brother in law caught a 42 and a 45 just outside of Solomons Island last weekend.

Skunked yesterday.

I got out to the middle of the Bay just in time for rain, thunder and lightning. Trolled for an hour until dark and ran back in using the gps. It's weird out there in the fog and no one else around!! There will be plenty of people out there this weekend. :cuss:

The gps won't warn you if you are going to run into another another boat. I've been caught in the fog on the Gulf, and it's weired. Luckily my dad had me put a bell on my boat. I would ring it occasionally to warn other boats.

It's all good Joe, I should have been more clear. The fog and mist had lifted when I was running in and it was just dark. I had my lights on and all that!!

I heard Stecz and Masher rented a boat, went out, dropped anchor and really got into a mess of them.

So Masher says "you know this spot is really hot, we should mark it so we can find it again."

Stecz replies "Great idea, I'll just mark a big X on the side of the boat."

"You idiot!" Masher says sharply...."What makes you think we'll get the same boat next time?"
