Theres an old lake in the center of town nearby here. It's an old holding reservoir for the canal system. Now it's in between an industrial area and a bad inner-city neighborhood. A local kid was fishing and caught an alligator. About 4 feet long.

I am glad that wasn't really in Alton IL. I live 30 minutes from there. I caught a 7' black snake in my yard the other night and that was bad enough.

Snakes are cool. Too many of the good ones get killed for no reason.
