Either sell my Bertram Competition 38' or make into a 5 seater with bigger power

Phil, where is this WD 40 boat at. First I ever seen of that one. cool layout. But the windshield gives me a great idea. cool picture though. Awesome.

How much farther forward are the two front seats than yours currently? I can't tell very well.

At least you'd have a true 38 Competition to copy the original.

First one I seen with a four seater. Cool, she looks about 3 feet longer in overall cockpit opening. I belive bertram had many layouts, expecially the dash setups and hatches.
I need more photos of the wd-40 Bertram. anybody out there have more pictures of deck and cockpit.
Thanks

What would DICK do ?

For the the love of Dick! !,please refer to the first four words of the very first reply, Ratickles sub conscious, spoke first. Phil W/ what, 1 of 12 hulls ,Bobcat, beat around the bush a little, but he meant well !!
Were not. going to beg, but then again we might.
Biketoberfest is coming up. I'll be one of the guys wearing the PLEASE DON'T CUT THAT BERT COMP 38 shirt.
Rat ? can you make this a sticky? ,

Well, did you make a decision?

One thing I guess I worry about, the boats need to be used. If Kurt can modify the boat into a 4, 5, or 6 passenger, and duplicate the WD-40 Competition from the factory, I say go for it. Cool boats sitting around, and not being used, don't mean a whole lot to me.

point noted,good point as well.

like it enough to let it go,
buy it/build it a big/little ,sister/brother , keep it in the family.

confuseses say ,if you have others figure out for ya ,ya still havent quite figured out.

Confuseus talked alot of ship¡

Yeah, yeah, chuckle away.......

I think I would try to sell it to someone who would maintain it in its current condition first. But, if not, I'd redo it into a 4 seat copy of WD-40. (I still haven't found that boat).

Man, finding more pics of the WD 40 boat is rough:banghead:

I don't know if Platinum Powerboats are still alive. If they are, try to contact Mr. Andreas Trost there. He is Dr. Oskar Trost's son and should have more pics of Miss WD40. He told me years ago that he still owns a 38 Competition but I'm not sure if it is Miss WD40.
