Made it to the new doublewide.
I finally have a fierplace.
Some of you that know me, know that my first job was installing fireplaces, and never in my life have I lived in my own place that has one.
Installed over 1000 of these things - No joke.
Well, I have one now.
Had a fire last night, and gonna have one again tonight.
Had to clean out last nights ashes, and didn't have a scoop.
So I made one with what was available.
Packing tape to seal the holes, and make a handle.

ok///aside from the brain damage incurred from inferior beer, cold climate, build fireplace...the desert..install central pool...... so get that scoop out in the backyard and start digging.... :seeya:

That's commendable. A+ for effort. :D
But man, you must be bored out of your mind...you emptied it (no doubt without wasting a drop), then you engineered it...then you took the time to document it.

:)

I love it. Keep it up.

P.S.
Milwakee's Best?...come on, you're killin' me.

:sifone:

What Nick said:) But please find a job so we don't have to read the stories that could and will come out of those boxes day by day night by night:26:
Oh Ya!! enjoy the new diggs and views.:seeya:

You're in the desert. You don't need fire.....:sifone:

Yeah, and I pulled this little feat off while Jody was home.
Just imagine what I can come up with when she's not here.
It could include flammables/explosives!

Hey - and don't pick on the beast - this is good stuff!

As they say "Idle hands are the devil's workshop" .....

Never drank that brand of beer - kinda like Bud Light myself....

But hey - ya had a beer (or two) got creative and had a hellava good time with a beer box and packing tape...... you're alright in my book!

Ya know Tim... real fireplaces are larger than a case of beer. :D

If you can't walk in to clean it, your fireplace is punk. :)

Just buy a dust pan at the dollar store that's what we use, and you don't have to clean every the ash out each time, we only get rid of the ashes after about 5 fires. Enjoy, now you need a bearskin rug to put in front of it:biggrinjester:
