E Dock Boats - Question

No doubt you guys have some impressive hardware out there, maybe even the best collection. I'm pretty sure Barnegat Bay here in NJ would give you some competition or even Great South Bay in Long Island.

BUT, the main question I have is; how's the economy out there? Is it better than everywhere else???? Cost of living really cheap?? What is it? What do ya'll do for a living?

maybe I should move there...although I'd miss the swells.

some very awesome hardware out there, if i ever decide to take a road trip around the country one of the stops would be e-dock just to look..

i agree with this, i'd be on the next plane out there.

We make our livings in various ways. Energy, aerospace, medical fields, construction, and insurance.

We keep our overhead low considering we all still ride our horses to work and live in tee-pees. :sifone::rofl:

We're all in the same fields so I guess it's just better out there.

I guess the horse/buggy keeps the overhead low!:driving:

Keep on keepin on fella's!

In Bubba's case it's more like a TeePow.

That's the baddest collection of boats anywhere except during a poker run weekend. Key West and Jax draw a big show, most of EDock is usually present.

That's some Tee-pee in the first pic in post 45, my eyes are not that good what's on their hoist.

Not sure what the boats are other than run abouts.

The guy that owns the house in the middle also owns the houses on both sides for "guest houses":ack2:

He would also be in the energy industry:sifone:

Sorry if I missed this somewhere, but what happened to the actual "OU Want Some" boat? That was Delo's, right? Has that been demoted to the daily-driver? :sifone: Even though I'm a Cornhusker alum, I always liked that boat! :cheers2:

It's still here, but the Rockstar boat is his new one, and sits where OU Want Some did. She's on the trailer waiting for a new home. All of the OU stuff has been removed.

Shiiiiii!!!! They PAY us to live here and represent!
I'm waiting on my STIMULUS CHECK right now!!! Then it's off to mercury to pick up my new 1200s!!:drool5:

Got my check today. Bought some gas!!!

BTW,this will be my last post. I love the 44!!!!

Grand has houses around it and a few attractions but it is nothing like LOTO! It's a fun lake. You should check it out just beware of E-dock and don't drown in the dripping springs.

Theres a few things to do on Grand but unless youre a local, you'll never be able to find it.. Its nothin like LOTO where you have a bar/restaurant on every point and cove. In the past 3 years, its expanded with a few new places and some old ones being redone. Come up for the poker Run in August and check it out. I love LOTO though!

What is Grand like? Is it lined with houses & bars like LOTO?

I think I know what you're asking.

Yes, it's lined with waterfront homes, and has some great bars/restaurants/yacht clubs all over it. Loto & Grand "look" similar, since they aren't core lakes & allow private docks & waterfront homes, and both are longer than they are wide. Loto is more narrow though. I'd call Grand a smaller version of loto as far as population. It doesn't have big cities like St Louis/KC/Little Rock/etc, feeding it, so there's not as much in the way of outlet malls, fast food, and other national businesses, like at loto.

You've gotta know where to go and when, similar to loto as far as nightlife. Some nights are hot at one spot, and the next night may be somewhere different. It's a great time, and blows away ANY of the other lakes that do not allow private waterfront property or docks. I'd recommend coming for our poker run later in the Summer if you want to check it out! :cheers2:
