Well, I'm not sure what I have started by all this, but here's the guys reply to my email. I sent him:

Subject: RE: Reverse-bow what?
Ok, u have got to be kidding me! Every one of these pics look FAKE, period! And furthermore, there is NO WAY this thing was racing against an offshore cat, come on, please. Is there even one of these boats in existence? Anywhere? Let's see a REAL picture!

And his reply:

Subject: RE: Reverse-bow what? hello robert my goldbar 36 is in my garage

i built it ,it will on the sea in 40 days , what do you think of this design for an offshore ? best regards olivier

I think I need to ask how big garages are where he lives? And I still wanna see a REAL pic of this thing.

I'm starting a new boat company and I am requesting some help with the names?

So far I have had a few sugestions:
wwe.goldberg45.com
sandbar45
goldbarf45
****barge45
titanic45?

any other ideas? I'm almost finished building the one in my garage, and the winner of the name contest will get to be THE SOLE PERSON who gets to test drive this boat in rough water out in the ocean!!!

come on Noise Pollution, it fits in his garage cause it has the 3M option -- the Magical Morphing Midsection - it collapses from 40' to 4.0'. Maybe you missed that on his website. - Jeff

He's half right. The reverse bow does have some excellent seakeeping motions, but only displacement craft. Tends to drive through the waves, ie. "wave piercing" rather than use buoyancy to force the bow on top of the waves. It is of great interest to the Navy.

Nice pic Rik, saw some of that stuff today.

Brad.

win

this is what happens when someone gets a hold of some design software and gets a rudimentary (at best) idea of how it works. Pixels and math is about all that will ever be with any luck. Best one is the race pic running next to . . . hey i just realized . . .THATS SKATER DAVES BOAT! :D . . . . no chit. Wonder if he remembers that.

At any rate Wallys stuff is way better than that although i've never been a fan.

we won that race too!! just goes to show doug's designs are better. dave i had know idea goldbar was at patchague. i guess he was behind lighting jacks!!!!!!!!

hea send me your email when you get a chance. got some pics of the new skiff.

Looks like he should rethink some of it! I am not going to knock him For he paid his dues building it and even got some Press. But Now what?
