Driveline Vibration Issue - Possible NTF Root Cause

This guy ran over a mattress and decided to keep going. The ensuing jumble finally whipped around enough to

put a tear in the gas tank, the subsequent lack of fuel is what finally brought this vehicle to its knees.

It had still managed to drive 30 more miles decently with a 60lb tangle wrapped around the driveshaft.

This genius complained that the vehicle had a "shimmy" when driving it high speeds.

I made the mistake of driving over a piece of that green netting the use to hold straw on newly-seeded hillsides. It looked like a little piece and I was doing 70 in traffic on the interstate. It was connected to a much larger piece. It wrapped around the driveshaft of my dually and wiped out the pinion seal. Took me about an hour to cut it away.

I had an old wire fence get caught up in my excursion las spring on my property. It was wrapped up real bad. Took 3 guys and 3 sets of bolt/wire cutters to get it cut and unwrapped. It looked very similar to those pics.

I had fishing line do that on the boat, got it before it cut into the seal on the drive.

Funny story. It was about 6 months ago and I'm driving home from work going along a bridge crossing the bay on a blustery day (over the Gandy Bridge, for you locals), and maybe a 1/2-dozen cars in front of me is a guy in a pickup carrying a mattress and springboard. Well, the wind catches them both and they shoot up into the sky like wings. Must have been 50 feet at least. Everyone slams on their brakes, and I see both pieces fall into the water off the bridge. After we all slow and the guy gets out, he just leans over the railing and is looking into the water scratching his head. It was a classic moment. He should have put lanyards on the mattresses.

that is every weekend, everyone here throws all their sh*t in the water, beer bottles mc d bags, I do not understand why they do it, it is freakin beautiful down here, I had to start looking away or else I would be in jail for assault

Evacuating for one of the hurricanes last year in New Orleans I watched a mattress slide out of a pickup and get tangled under a CL55. Car just kinda stopped in the middle of I-10. Probably made his day.

Jeez, I would imagine a new driveshaft would be cheaper than paying the labor involved to clear that mess.

I saw a Suburban hit a cylinder (welding gas, oxygen, who knows) on I-94 in Detroit one time at about 75 mph. He ran it over, launched his front end about a foot in the air, shot the cylinder into the car beside him. Luckily it must have been empty.

About two years ago I hit a loveseat at 60 or so MPH that fell off a guys trailer about three cars in front of me. Didn't have time to react good enough when I finally saw it and I didn't want to yank the steering wheel and brake at the same time while moving at that speed. Apparently he had everything on the trailer tied down with bailing twine.
