Where's your sense of adventure?

I bought a turbo charged motorcycle in 1985, by 1989... my sense of adventure was largely depleted.

I loved it at St Claire last year... there was a fish tourny somewher around and the bass boats were showing off trying to run up the river as fast as the race boats.. I was waiting patiently for one of them to eat it..but unfortunatly I was denied.

there is a time and a place for this kinda fun.. doing this in a bass boat, not so much.... we have all jumped a wake or two in our day...

Agreed. And as those of us with 'experience' can attest, we jumped wakes when approaching at a relatively slow speed and gun it to get the vertical launch, lang still slow and smooth and move forward. Not when at higher, unstable speeds with the sole purpose of seeing how far we can launch an over-trimmed boat.

This guy looks like a kid who just got his Red Rider Rifle for Christmas and went outside in his pajamas.

But if you put them in a dune buggy, you'll see them head for the jump.....

Because there's so many times people do it and nothing happens so they keep pushing faster/higher until an accident happens......

best one I ever did was I jumped a tour boat wake down in the Thousand Islands at about 55 or 60......man we were UP THERE!!.....came down a little hard but not that bad.....it wasnt as hard as the beating I took from my girlfriend of the time......she was hitting me with everything she could get her hands on......charts, bottle of sun tan lotion you name it......the crowd loved it though!!.......they were waving and giving us the thumbs up when we saw them at Bolt Castle......and her and I are no longer together, not so unfourtunatly

I did one in the Columbia River north of Portland one time. Faster and faster over the summer on wake jumps.

Probably 75 or so over a Tollycraft Yacht Fisher wake. Went by looking down at the dude on the bridge driving. Broke damn near everything in the boat when we landed. Luckily the boat stayed together and neither one of us were hurt bad. 15 foot Carlson with a 235 Evinrude - talk about stupid kids. I was probably 20 or 21 at the time.
