Surgery for Kopecky? — Detroit forward Tomas Kopecky might need surgery after sustaining facial injuries in a fight with Anaheim defenseman Francois Beauchemin in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals. GM Ken Holland said Saturday that initial indications on Kopecky's condition were "not good," but the team is waiting for a final report.

Red Wings' Kopecky will miss Game 5 — Detroit forward Tomas Kopecky is out for Game 5 on Sunday against the Anaheim Ducks. Kopecky received facial injuries during a fight with Francois Beauchemin in the third period of Detroit's 6-3 win in Game 4 to even their Western Conference playoff series.

The refs let them because the NHL think thats what people wanna see. I gave up on watching, simply because they can't go an entire game without someone going ballistic.
 
Poor Kopecky took one for the team. The WINGS are doing better since. A bunch of new talent has stepped in w/o missing a beat! GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
