The movie... :sifone:

I watched it again yeterday. It's a long time favorite of mine. It came out in 1981 but I got to thinking about how much the sentiment of the movie still resonates today. The disconnection that the middle class feels with the goverment and the direction of this country, the anger... It's funny, I'd guess that a lot of us were those angstful and agressive teens in the late '70s and '80s. The movie just kind of stuck a never with me, considering where we are and how many of us feel today. Enjoy!:reddevil:

Cool! I've never seen part one.
I really liked part II- the metal years.
There were the scenes in that of Chris Holmes from WASP guzzling bottles of Vodka, while floating in a pool chair, with his Mother sitting poolside.
It was actually pretty depressing.

You posted that as a message didn't you?

I did send you a PM with a similar line of commentary. I've seen parts of the Metal version. I just hate Dave Mustaine so much that I have a hard time watching it when he comes on. He's the reason nerds get beat up... :reddevil:

How can you hate Mustaine??
Killer guitar player, and such a phuck he got himself kicked out of one of the biggest metal bands of all time, but still went on to create his own band and be successful, while being a drunk.
I kind of root for the underdog sometimes.
You could make a movie like "Rudy" about his life.:sifone:

I don't like Rudy either... I always thought Mustaine was a complete egomainic. But without the endearing stupidity of a Henry Rollins... What can I said, I guess I learned nothing from Revenge of the Nerds. :D

It's amazing to me that nobody else who posts here has a lick of interest in punk rock or random conversations about stupid crap like this, for tht matter. Good thing you and I are hardly working today Tim!

I'm not working at all today.
Unless you consider little crap around the house...
Back to work tomorrow afternoon... This schedule sucks!
Just applied for another gig.

I'm sure a few more will post into this thread, it's early.

I figure jobs are like getting laid... when you're not getting laid at all, they can tell and getting one on the hook is a bit tougher, once you've got a regular gig, you're more relaxed and it's starts raining ass... er, I mean jobs... :sifone:

I always used to tell people to "stick it to the man" and then one day I realized I'd become "the man" that I was advising needed a sticking to... Getting old sucks. Don't trust anyone over 80!
