Deadline is set for Fountain bidders

I want to place my geuss on what will happen. I bet that a group of individuals probably 4 or 5 (the largest dealers for fountain and baja) form a company and buy this. otherwise what products do they sell. Maybe I am mistaken but the large dealers with fountain all over their name do not seem to worried or seem to be changing directions or pulling the fountain name off of their ads.

It's not "out in the country". It's actually right there in Washington, NC.
The prob is Washington isn't that big. Greenville, NC is about 20 miles away. Greenville is decent sized. And the river there is HUGE.
The factory property(and any houses company owned) are on a huge area of land right on the Pamlico. The marina facilities at FOUNTAIN alone are perfect for a number of uses.

Problem is the economy in the area. There are not a lot of high paying jobs in that part of NC. We are building a factory down the road in Kinston to produce airplane parts. Labor is cheap and its a right to work state. It is a very nice property but I am not sure what you could use it for that would be profitable other than build boats. Reggie is a little over the top for me but I like the boats and hope the company some how survives.

Several miles from town??? :huh: Um like two miles from town. Washington is a city of 10k people, so not really big. But it's a nice place. Greenville is a good size town and about 30 minutes away.

The houses are not part of Fountain. Reggie lives up the river a couple miles.

Let me rephrase, as I've only visited the place one time and it is a beautiful facility and if the economy wasn't on it's ass it would be a great place to build performance boats or anything else that relies on water for manufacturing or recreation, and I hope that it will be resurrected for the 400 or so that lost their jobs. The Fountain facility is not "out in the country", but like so much of rural America, Washington, NC, while beautiful, is "out in the country".
