DC sniper - bye bye

Unfortunately the 100% without a doubt has been FKD UP too many times.

I understand what you are saying, and in every politics class in Canada the death penalty comes up at some point or another. I just don't see a problem with it if the person is guilty through and through. If we have hard evidence, a confession, etc, that proves the person is responsible for whatever heinous crime they have allegedly committed, why do they deserve to live?

how many stories of over zealous prosecutors up for reelection have we heard in the last several years??

I got Guy Paul Morin released from prison.

Sorta glad I did. So is he.

But I hear the point people are making when there are eye witnesses and or confessions.
A point can be made that death is better than sitting in jail.
Paul Bernardo could speak to that.

Whole subject is really sad, and right now is counterproductive to me enjoying some nice times with some good people in KW.

Good luck with your school courses.

Hope you are learning that most politicians are pure garbage.:ack2:

I like Ron Whites skit on this. "Most states are abolishing the death penalty, in Texas we are putting in an express laine".

Have fun! It was actually 65 here on sunday and monday, felt pretty good to wear shorts again. I am coming down with a cold though so the next couple weeks of hell are going to be crappy! :)

I too lived through this and was on the road within a mile or two of each of the shootings almost every day. It was amazing just freaking out thinking you might be sighted in. We were talking about this tonight, let's do this the modern way. Pay per View. All the proceeds go to the victims. No lethal injection, firing squad. It would be a runaway hit and the victims would be helped. We have busted down all the other mores of society, let's go for it. See you guys Thursday night!

They should have dragged that kid that was helping him in and juiced them both at the same time.

They say the death penalty isn't a deterrent. Well, this motherf.ucker won't do it again.

Firing Squad was the only TRUE justice they could've done. Eye for an Eye. Shot for shot.

Should let a family member of the victims draw straws to do it.

Impressive work Alec!

Arrest someone, have the trial within 6 months. If guilty, retry within 6 months. If guilty, have next court review within 6 months. If verdict stands, bye bye within 6 months.

DNA reversed verdicts from the past because the testing was not available. It is now, use it and no need for reversals here going forward.

Morin was convicted at his second trial and was sentenced to life imprisonment. Unlike others convicted of murdering children after sexually abusing them, he was kept in the general population throughout his time in prison, and he claimed to have been raped by fellow inmates. Improvements in DNA testing led to a test in 1995 which excluded Morin as the murderer. Morin's appeal of his conviction was allowed (i.e., the conviction was reversed), and a directed verdict of acquittal entered in the appeal.

That must have been fun.....innocent, case dragging and the general population is wearing out the guy's azz.....

Living in the DC Metro area; I remember fueling up at night ducking between my truck and the trash cans, pulling up to pump so I was between my truck and the store, slowing/speeding so I wouldn't be stuck at a stop light, etc.

Bye Bye, MF'er.

I remember those times as well.... My Company vehicle in those days was a White Asto van (supposed reported vehicle he was driving at the time) glad that MFer is dead, killed Innocent people....

The retrial was delayed until 1992 by Morin's own appeals based on the Crown's non-disclosure of exculpatory evidence and by other issues, including the double jeopardy rule.

I'm no fan of letting a convicted child molester live either but I like Alec too much to keep going on this topic. Alec felt it this guy was worth it which is enough for me.

Wouldn't a firing squad been more appropriate given the circumstances?

This way this scumbag would have had a firsthand taste of what he was dishing out.

Adios MFer....

Back on topic.

Scary times! I tried to explain to people not from the area the feeling at that time. They kind of think "Ok- 10 people out of how many millions in the DC area?" which was NOT the feeling at all.
