I didn't want to mention it on the Warpath thread, but that video is great. Had fun yesterday afternoon watching it and waiting for the wake to disappear... then counting the seconds for it to reappear. Caught some throttle work too. Thanks for doing that. It was a blast watching it. My new favorite Apache vid.

One thing I've noticed about cameras are they really distort the image a bit and it's really hard to tell the actual size of the waves. I had a different view from the bow and it almost makes it look like it was flat as a lake, go figure!:ack2:

Believe it or not it was 4-5' with a few 5-7's thrown in. At 65-70 mph in the 4-5's the Apache would just ride over top but the bigger 5-7's you could get some air.

you can def see how large the waves are when you span a few and loose your prop wash trail, then back on re entry. Great video.

Thanks, I guess you're right. I just looked up mph vs. ft. per second.

@ 65-70 mph you're covering 95-102 ft per second, some of the gaps were 1-2 seconds. :driving:
