Skater Gen Mgr, Chris Mornes, separates from Skater / Douglas Marine

To my friends, colleagues and clients:

I would like to thank each of you for your caring thoughts and prayers during the repair of my heart’s mitral valve in May, 2010. Because the surgery was performed robotically and was much less invasive, my recovery has been very quick. My surgeon told me that my heart is now operating as efficiently as those in the top two percent of the population. As promised, I am already feeling about 20 years younger.

Since I am no longer employed in Michigan, I will be joining my wife at our home in Sarasota, FL and then seeking new employment.

I value the relationships we have built over the years, and look forward to continuing them in the future.

Feel free to contact me by phone or email at cwmornes@gmail.com.

Regards to you all
Chris Mornes

Last night, Chris called me, and I had a chance to speak with him.

We have known each other for about 9 years and had a rather lengthy conversation; it was good to hear Chris's voice again.

To summarize, his overall comment was "I am doing good".

noooooooo.....!!!

Hahaha, I 100% understand though!! Keep getting better buddy, and make room for lots of shorts & t-shirts going forward. I know you won't miss that Michigan freeze! :cheers2:

Spoken to Chris on several occasions & he's doing great both physically & mentally. My guess is a guy of his depth won't be unemployed long!

I just go off the phone with Chris, he is doing very well.

He was telling me he has been flying again, twin engine jets.

We will probally get together some time in the near future. I will be sure to post some pics and updates.

I have kept in touch with Chris and speak with him often. Two nights ago he said, he has been doing some more flying (twin engine jets), some hi-perf marine stuff, and in general is feeling good.

Among other things, we may go to an air show together soon, and I will have my camera, so I will get some pics of him and his wife.

He & I have chatted as well, sounds like he's been logging a bunch of hours in private jets. Tough life, I remember hearing our pilots having to take Mr. Hendrick's daughter & her friends to Panama or the Bahamas & stay while she was there for Spring Break back in the day! I think there are some pretty good perks associated w/ those jobs. I know the boating industry misses him so hopefully he's enjoying what he's doing!
