Mark Smith's father, Al Smith, passed away last night. He was in a nursing home for the last year, and progressively his health failed over the past few weeks.
He is survived by his son Mark, and Mark's 3 brothers. Al was a highly decorated officer of our armed forces, which he spent most of his life serving. He was a leader of the Special Forces team which served many years overseas. He was truely an American hero in the way he fought for our freedom.
His services will be held on tuesday Dec 9th, from 3-8 pm, at Hurstens Funeral home in Hillside Ill. which is located on the S/W corner of Roosevelt rd. and Manheim rd.
