Cellular Gateways

I haven't used one at home but both my car and truck use the bluetooth for the phone and it works great...thing is I don't like at answer the home phone when I'm there and always let it go to the machine unless it's someone I know...

Femtocell use a broadband connection. What I've seen is a bridge between your cell phone and your home phone and relies strictly on your cell phone.

I have spotty reception in my house.

Do you have a land line? If yes, then when you get home, forward your cell phone to your land line. When you leave the house, unforward your cell phone, and forward your land line to your cell phone.

Good luck!

Verizon is about to offer $5/month for home phone.

If that is not being offered in your area look in the front of your phone book for "limited measured service" or some thing like that. $7-$12/mo with unlimited incoming calls and like 65 outbound calls a month with each call outbound over 65 being like 3 cents regardless of time spent on the line.

The whole purpose of the gateway is to eliminate my landline and the 40/month bill.

So what issue are you solving? You going to plug this thing in up in your attic where your cell works?

you need sleep bro.. (from post ho thread) :sifone:

Main floor, good reception. Basement, bad reception.

Sleep is overrated :sifone:

I usually only get 5-6 hours sleep a night anyway. 3 hours last night is no bog deal for me.

Another option is check with who you have internet and TV with- most of the time the "triple play" with all 3 (net, TV & dialtone) is cheaper than just getting 2 services.

All a "one bill" sales pitch- the more services you have with one carrier the less likely you are to switch to someone else
