Help, I'm electronics dumb at times.
We have charter cable which provides a bunch of music channels.

How can I get that music piped to the garage away from where the cable box is and be able to change channels ? Anything short of renting a additional cable box or adding another TV ?

The cable box probably provides "RCA" audio jacks for left and right channels. You will need a pair of audio wires from the cable box to the garage and connected to amplified speakers. You may also be able to do this wirelessly.

The key is to understand that the audio need to go thru and amplifer or to amplified speakers. You cannot connet directly to unamplified speakers.

Good luck!

Clay,
Found out an additional cable box is $5 monthly so I'll rent one and hook up some amplified speakers. My dumb a** wasn't aware of amplified speakers.
Thanks for the help,

Do you have a cable jack in the garage? You should be able to find a cheap "boom box" in a pawn shop that has "RCA" input jacks. This will give you AM/FM as well as the music channels.

Good luck!
