- upgrade the paper, the free stuff is flimsy but it's free
- add some thing to the back so people will keep them around even when they don't need you any more. Calendars are OK but some thing like a tip chart could appeal to more people. Since I appraise houses, I always like the ones with payment per $1K at different interest rates for different terms.

Coupon codes available on the internet- get at least 25% off. Run the numbers with the coupon and without; some times their specials that month are better than a coupon can do.

For free pass out stuff Staples has printing that can be reasonable, also you can buy your own and print them out but some times the cost of that can get up there when you include the ink into the numbers and stuff. The nice thing about that is you can make as many or as few as you want and keep changing them.
