Building WHM a Skater Superboat/Supercat

Okay, we'll look for you there.

We should get back to Skater today, I have some golf cart tires and wheels Ray can use for WHM's cart we hope.

Although the new boat is not ready for Michigan City, never count Billy and Jay out of the contest. Ray is ready to head down to Michigan City from Skater to do the final tweaks for the race Sunday.

On their way south to finish and test. Good luck to Billy, Jay, and Ray. We really enjoyed watching the boat being built and cannot wait to see it on the water. The first overhead performance shot is going to be awesome!!!!!

Besides the really good looks, it has that really sweet WHM sound!!!!!

I understand the pic on Billy's side of the boat, The Plumber. But the martini on Jay's side? The Boozer???????:sifone:

Freezeframe made it to the boat's first tests in St Cloud. The water was very flat of course, but they were able to do some testing. Unfortunately, they hurt a motor so were unable to attend the races at Clearwater. Word is that it's a very good runner....

Freeze also took a couple shots of the two boats side by side in the shop. I think he forgot to reset the camera, or was driving by about 40 mph in his cart, but it still shows some of the differences in the two boats. The main difference is the overall height. You are able to really notice it if you look at the height above the drives on one boat versus the other. On the original boat, the exhaust is directly above the drives. On the new boat, they had to run the crossover to the outside of the drives because there is no room above them.

I did have to take one of their engines from Skater to Sterling for Peter so they could get it refreshed and down to WHM for their next testing prior to Key West in Cocoa Beach.

Once again, Freeze was invited to attend and kind enough to give us all some pictures.

Word has it the boat performed really well. I think it will have one heck of a test in Key West.:driving:

I sure wish the guys well. The class should be an awesome one in Key West. I must admit I am a huge Skater fan and visit with Pete as often as I can.

An overhead at Skater as they were readying to leave for the testing in Florida. I cannot wait to see the first overhead shot of the boat with that flag waving motif during a race. Hopefully in perfect water, several feet in the air, and the sun out and shining on the correct side.....

In this shot, at the Skater factory when they were starting the engines, you can see how little room there is above the exhaust.
