Bravo Shift Cable Removal

Alright - someone help me out.

How the hell do I get it out of the bellhousing. I have taken the front retainer nut off, but I don't believe that you have to remove the back nut do you??

The back nut is part of the flange cable end piece. It must just be corroded in place.

That was what I thought based on my manual but I wanted to be sure.

Try a small air hammer chisel. It worked for us. If you hit it with a hammer and punch you will likely damage the end.

I am a believer of PB blaster penetrating spray and heat.

One of them came out with some encouragement. I decided to let the other sit overnight coated in PB Blaster....

I wouldn't beat on it to much with anything, try alittle heat from a map-gas torch or propane, heat it on the bottom side of the helmet, that will expand the alum. If that doesn't do it take your drill index and start drilling the brass out in stages, until you relieve the brass piece than tap it out. be aware that if you drill to far you will start to drill the stainless steel coring on the other end which I would avoid. Hope that helps.
