Great pics, Blue Oval are you the Ford dealer in Boyne across from the Dairy Queen? Sorry for the dumb question, but I don't get on here too much. I also don't get up to Michigan like I did as a kid. Grandparents had a cottage on Glenwood Beach next to the caboose's. Cousin has it now, but I loved the summer up there and look in from time to time. You are lucky to live in God's country (grandpa would say )

Yes I'am the local Ford dealer, and I know of the cabins you are talking about.Back in the days of Boy Scout's we cleaned up the public park next to them.Not very many people from town even know about the park or the caboose's. I tell everyone that I would not live anywhere else during the summer!

Thanks for the reply, we used to play in that park as kids and now the young kids do the same when we get together at the cottage. You may remember there was a tall (10 ft.) high dive thing my older cousins and the people in the cabooses made at the edge of the dropoff. Years ago there was a big beach there also when the water was down. You are right thee is no better place in the summer. Have a good day

There was a local gentleman who hit a boat on a shore station at 2am a few weeks ago, just a few houses away from there. Totaled the boat on the shore station, he had a 25ft fishing boat, fiberglass.Made it back to the dock and pulled the boat out, he got some back yard bodyman to fix his boat(bad repair job) cops got him!

Seeing all the pictures and thinking about the lake I think I my get up and see my mom in Horton Bay this fall, she comes down to see us in Oklahoma but I don't get up like I should. Pictures made me really miss it. Have a great weekend.

We went back out with the DeYougs Sunday, Bill's boat started in with some noise down by the rear of the engine, we left it at the dock and he rode with us. Must of been the tow from Hemingway Point the night before(out of gas).That was a slow ride home!
