I hope so too. Planning to return for next years run. One thing that might be hurting it, is the cost. Yes, I know we're talking about guys that own $100-600k boats, but it is by far the most expensive entry fee of any run we do. Yes the meals are good, but it's still a bit expensive. It's also quite a haul for most of us that attend. So you have 3-400 mile drive, 2 or 3 nights in a hotel plus $700-900 (depending on number of passengers) to enter the boat and a full tank of gas that will be burned on the run. So it's not cheap, compared to runs we do on St. Clair that are flat rate $100 per person and that includes meals. Yes, I know Boyne is supposed to be an attraction and is on a different level than the club runs that happen every weekend around the state. But, we could do 10 local St. Clair, Erie runs for what I spent on the Boyne run. Then, you never know what the water will be like once you're there. That being said, I will be back!
