I ordered one of those Go Pro sports video / camera for mounting on the boat so we will have to see how that works out. I should have had it for the river run Saturday!!

Bob, the Go Pro camera (if like the ones a Royal Distributing) are a pretty good unit. We use them as Helmet cams for off-road motorcycle riding and the have proven to be qood units with nice wide photo angles so it doesn't get all tunnel vision when you view finished product.

Alec was loaded up with about 14 freeloaders ( LOL ) and cruised along nicely. We kept ahead of him until I threw a blade a few miles from the finish. I backed off on the broken prop side and was able to keep on plane but at that point he did catch us. Now if he would just bring that bad boy to Cuba with me we could make a li'l money coming back. LOL

Thanks, Paul & Monica. Here is tonight's NOAA forecast:

Thursday And Thursday Night...East winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas beyond the reef 1 to 2 feet. Seas inside the reef 1 foot or less. Nearshore waters smooth to a light chop. Scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Friday...East winds near 10 knots. Seas beyond the reef 2 to 3 feet. Seas inside the reef around 1 foot. Nearshore waters a light chop. Scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Saturday And Sunday...East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas beyond the reef 2 to 4 feet...except higher in the gulf stream. Seas inside the reef 1 to 2 feet. Nearshore waters a light to moderate chop. Scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Thursday looks perfect for our crossing. Looks like the winds start to pick up Sat / Sun. but still OK for the return. We need to continue to watch it tho. I only get concerned when winds reach 20 knots +. Starts to get nasty then.

I've been on Marco since late afternoon shopping and packing. Going to Ft. Myers for the boat mid morning. Need to stop at Marco and load. Planning on departure for Key West by 12:30 ish. I will activate " SPOT".

We can get Cuban lobster in Canada. It's the best I've ever tasted. Sweet. Better than our east coast which is supposed to be superb.
