BobbyB Hot Licks Racing going under the knife- HELP NEEDED
Where were you 10/12/08?
Can you remember what you were doing that day? Most wouldn't.
That day was just another day in the life for most of us but for others it changed their lives forever.
This is the day BobbyB was in a boating accident that claimed fellow racer Pat "Secret Squirrel" Reiter. RIP Squirrel!
BobbyB was busted up pretty bad and is still laid up.
Tomorrow BobbyB goes under the knife for hip surgery and hopefully that will all work out well enough that he can get his ACL repaired before Christmas.
BobbyB is far from wealthy and like most racers does it what it takes to be able to race. Towing all night to make the races after wrenching all night the day before, working two-three jobs to make it happen, tearing down his own equipment and whatever else he can do on his own to keep the motors running and the props spinning. Like most racers all these sacrifices are made to be able to race; for the love of the sport.
I'm asking all of us to say a prayer for BobbyB tomorrow to get through this surgery.
I'm also asking those that can spare a little to help him out as well. $5, $50, $500 or more- every single cents helps. Even some thing as small as doing a bank transfer so paypal doesn't take fees helps.
I know times are tight, it is the holidays, heating bills are going up and the other 2 million things we all have to deal with living our lives.
