how about 3-4 times the boats in a class?

plus some fellow members made the video...
Works!
Nothing like running a true racecourse, like for instance one lap more than a race in the US for total OUTTHERE... and the nonpaying spectators..well those interested still stay watching and waiting for the boats and count which ones made the last lap or not, the spectators Follow the Sport.
In the States it´s more of a Show/Circus.
Who cares about 80000 spectators if they just don´t do any good for the organizations except some bragging rights..
When auto racing was free in the 50´s we had races with 85000+ spectators downtown Helsinki.
After that on closed circuits topped from the 60´-> at less than 30K but everyone paid money ,quite hard to achieve in offshore but the races are not for the Spectators IMO.
I could care less.
You need the Sponsors to come and watch you you get them outthere or take it as a business plan and just report them with True facts how they benefits/ed sponsoring you.
Plus the Venues in Europe are sometimes quite classic sites with the original courses even today.
That´s how you make history and heritage.:cheers2:
I might add those racing Abroad take the racing more seriously in every form of motorsport I´ve witnessed.. comes with the fact that guys racing offshore race other stuff also (sometimes even for living)..usually Road Racing or Rallycars.
Therefore Different attitudes over here and overthere IMO.
Happy Holidays everyone and hope some Americans race in Europe too and Vice versa to get some diveristy, just like in the old days..
