Xtreme Air

Looking to have a boat lift installed on my dock in Florida. Need help with a recommendation of lifts. I also would be interested in pricing of lift and installation if anyone has gone through this before. My boat is a 35foot mistress. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The best bang for the buck and also VERY VERY salt water friendly , is Hydrohoist !!!!!!

:cheers2:

Here is my Hydro Hoist

Not sure how much water is needed, my slip is in 30 feet of water so not really an issue. Mine is an older style though and the newer ones don't take as much water as mine does.

Now if you would just get a COVER for that thing!
It sure looked cold this winter.

I know she was cold this winter. I was down checking on her all the time.

Honestly, not sure why I haven't got a full cover except not really needed that much under a covered dock.

here is a used one for 7500 bucks. ITS IN CAPE COD :(

38 feet long and holds a 44 foot boat so i guess its a 20K # lift

ITS AN OLD STYLE THOUGH ( 2002ish )

I have been told about $1 per pound ie 14K $14K

That is a more accurate estimate. when I was looking at new ones, it was going to be about $15K for a new 14K lb lift installed when all was said and done. Plan on $1 per pound of lift and you should be close.

Thanks again for all the good information. I will certainly look into their product line. Is there anything else I should be aware of or in need of when purchasing a lift? This will be my first time using a lift. Thanks again for all the excellent help.

I purchased a Hydrohoist 12k lift the latter part of 2008. She was just north of $12,000. The "back in" frame option would have added app. another $1,300. Neither of these prices included taxes. Love the lift. Can't go wrong with Hydrohoist. Good luck.

Thank You for the info. Does the hydrohoist allow enough room for cleanining the bottom of the boat with a brush?

I'll try to send some pics. within the next couple of days. My set up (in height off the ground) is similar to being on a trailer. You can clean under it but some places are harder to reach. If you're younger than 40, probably no problem. :-)
