Is that hull number one of that Donzi? It looks like it. I saw it unveiled at the Sarasota poker run many years ago. It's still my choice for running. It was also at the Donzi Hometown Rally one year. Steve Simon (RIP) was the driving force behind it. He was a helluva nice guy too.
1) Making over 900 hp on Crocket's dyno with my home made blower motor.
2) Making my boat movre under its own power for the first time in 2 1/2 years
3) Being faster on the water in a poker run than Alec for the first time EVER!
Pretty big accomplishment for me, we have been boating together on PR's for just short of 20 yrs.
4) Hanging with my fellow SOS'ers in KW
5) The Flaming Hoop Show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hurray::hurray::hurray:
The boat is a 2003. The first ones came out in 2002, were side by side motors, most were F-2, and had different engine hatch covers. This was Donzi's boat that they used for the boat shows and poker runs for a few years and I bought it in Nov. 2007. Technically I am the first owner of it but it was bought used. It has Ron Potter massaged 575's to 700's. It runs great!

I know that Donzi also brought a Zr to the races in St Pete, just for show. I'd love to have one. I don't remember what year it was. It was the year Donzi's raceboat t boned Steve Shuble in a borrowed boat. The Donzi team didn't even stop to help. One guy on the Cig was knocked in the water. The Cig was trying to pull a broke down boat to the center. There was red smoke and a chitload of choppers in that corner, but the Donzi boat didn't heed any warnings when they t boned the rescue Cig. You could stick your head in the hole in the hull.
Sorry for the Hijack (I didn't start it.)
The F-2 boats ran 90+ on side by side 525's and race interior. The staggared 575's ran just under 100.
Not sure which race boats did what, never raced with Donzi.
There were a group of 6 or 7 ZRc's that had different variations of the white with red trim based on their heritage racing colors.
Two F-2/side by side engine boats, two with red bottoms (one with a deck stripe and one without), Bad Boys II boat w/ red deck stripe, my boat and there may be one other.
