Well, it looks like I will have to surrender my faithful Black Hawk drive as my drive guy rerally thinks it will esplode reeeeeeal good behind my new motor :(

Looking for opinions on the B max HT and possibly the Imco SCX.

Any opinions will be greatly appreciated. This is gonna screw my redo budget something fierce and I can't afford to make a mistake here so let me know what you know please.

Some have good luck others have bad. At least you have the option of a 1.50 gear ratio with the BMax now.

I'm somewhere in between but still happier than with my old IMCO Extreme Bravo's. I had my first catastrophic BMax failure at 125 hrs and a few other minor problems but they were fixed at no charge by Dean. Unfortunately the upper was out of warranty for over 2 yrs so I had to pony up.

Any other info you need just let me know.

My B-max has held up very well, but figure on losing 3-5 mph

We installed BMAX's on the Whipple boat (528 HEMI's) and at first had issues with the driveability - but after making them TRUE 2" shorties - it goes like a biatch. The weight difference was the issue as the IMCO's had a 1 1/2" spacer making them a true 1/2 shorter than stock. But so far there have been no issues with them - the oil gets changed regularly and no wave hopping when it's on like donkey kong.....

What about the NXT drive? I know they made one for a single now with a cambered skeg. Not sure if you can get them witout motors or not.

Another option would be the Konrad Ace. It will handle the power and have heard nothing but good things about the Konrad's.

Doesnt Rob Strip Poker Run B Max's....???

Pretty sure Rob had good luck with them for a number of years but recently needed an overhaul.

I consulted with Rob when I was buying mine, he was the main reason I bought them.

he's not so happy these days but I believe he's had fairly decent results.

As far as NXT's, I tried getting 3 of them for a friend, thru a builder, no dice.. I was able to find 3 from another dealer who was buying packages and splitting up the drives but he decided not to do the project.

Airpacker, call Imco and ask them about the SCX. I'm going that way very soon. You may like what they say. I think there are some gear options.

Sean.....you going to run your Bravo just for a shakedown run???

Hey, remember IMCO....."NO WARRANTY ON HIGH PERFORMANCE PARTS......!!!!!!''

How about Max Machine Works??
