B&m 250

Hard Charger

I have a HP 500 with 250 hours on it. I'm considering buying and installing a used B&M 250 supercharger. Will this work well with my motor? If so what do I need to watch out for? Is a 850 Holley big enough?

And maybe some arp head bolts and less timing, cooler plugs and a carb set up for blowers. For reference the 525sc engines came with 1050 dominator carbs and were 454s.

Be careful of a used B&M 250, before you buy it call Eric, @ The Blower Shop and ask about the possible problems. I would invest in a new Blower shop 250 You can make 950-1000 Hp with the right build on a 515 cid with long dependable service already have done it with 2 seasons on them and only oil changes.

Can you elaborate more on this set up?

950-1000hp with a 250 blower??????? I'll believe it when I see it.

If you build it with the right combination. Profiler cnc heads, solid roller cam, Jesel shaft rockers, Jesel Belt Drive, proper machine work and assy. This is a 10 # boost and 6300 rpms max. Maybe RM Builder, will come in, he knows the build. I guess thats why we can't keep Max Marine Drives on the boat and had to remove the 1" spacer on the lower to up the slip, 1.5 ratio,2" short lower with 32 P5x 5 blade Hydromotives, it's a 38 Fountain straight bottom full cabin I think it's a 1997 runs about 108 I know thats not fast with equal power or less in a new Fountain.
