I think the Cheetah was a very creative design.
The Spectre however is not a copy of anything. The 30 was tooled up from wood, the 32 modified from parts of the 30 and introduced after 1 1/2 years of hull testing to determine the best tunnel compression and step placement in it's 5 step design. Also the first to deviate from the f-16 canopy arrangement 5 + years ago. The 42 was cut out by Doug Wright.
Skater has won many many design awards and countless championships which proves their boats. Peter is very talented and respected.
Spectre has also won many design awards, championships, kilo records and has a loyal following.
The fact that Jay and Peter are good friends probably means that there is no problem between the two...don't you think? They wouldn't be seated at the same table at the Powerboat Magazine awards for 3 years together...you get the picture.
I would suggest before making accusations and empty comments you engage your brain first.....
