Audio Drivers

Hey was wondering if someone can give me some advice on reinstalling my audio driver on my laptop. Its a gateway and I think i took it off in a clean up. Thanks for any help!

you should be able to enter your laptop info and download the drivers, or get info on the audio card to go to the mfg for updated drivers

If you go into Control Panel, then Systen, then Device Manager, you gan usually see which sound card you have. Then you can locate the driver. You may have to pull the cover and look if it's a card-slot device rather than an integral-to-the-motherboard piece.

But, I'd start with contacting Gateway with the serial number. I don't know if they can do it that way, but many can- I know Dell does.

Do a system restore if you have Windows XP or Vista

what phragle said....go to there site and there should be a download software and just type your info in and download drivers to a file....go find that file and install it....

it was a while ago, but I contacted gateway about a desk top that was 8 years old, gave them the serial and within 2 minutes they had the complete build specs
