I've gotta go to dinner now, spent a bunch of time chatting with Ron and Bob.

Too bad it was cancelled, would have been a heck of a race in those conditions. Would have loved to have a chance at racing in thoe sloppy conditions.....

My best estimate, 8's to 12's at 9 to 13 seconds apart.....

Talked quite a bit with Bob Teague and Ron Polli after the cancellation. One of the factors, besides the unwillingness of the Coast Guard to assist, towing a disabled boat in through the inlet would have been impossible. Let alone trying to assist in case of an emergency in that water.

I think they sat out there for a couple hours at least before the cancellation.


I know the Geico Cig ran the course a couple times with, I believe, Teague at the wheel to check the conditions.
