Apache at Liquidators.......

Some of you guys are not thinking straight ,, there is no comparison and one can not compare a 41 with #6 or #3a's to a 36 with bravos ,, they are two complete diff boats , diff cost to operate and maintain , they both have a place at the dock and it works dollar for dollar one can not beat the value of an Apache power boat, that's a fact Jack wheather its a 36 or 41 or 47 or a 28 they are unique boats to themselve's ,, If you have never owned one you will never understand what its all about !!

that having been said , I predict that this one will sell around 70ish , because someone out there will see the value, while others just try to steal it and talk about how they missed it ! :seeya:

I may be talking out of my azz here, but I thought the way this operation worked is if you put in a bid on a boat they then contact the bank and see if they will take it. If thats the case I would think 44K is going to take this boat home. I have no experience with this company but gathered this from other posts and talk about other boats they have sold

Would someone buy this boat so you all can quit drooling. It's messing up my keyboard.:drool5::drool5::drool5::drool5:

That's how it works.... There's an offer in to the bank (not from my buddy) pending approval, it's higher than these numbers.

Thanks Stinson for running over there today for my friend! :seeya:

Typically, if they follow the rules, the bank/owner sets a miniimum bid that they will accept to look at. If they receive an offer at or above that bid by the date agreed to, the bids are presented and the bank/owner either accepts or rejects.

If rejected, then bids received by the next pre-determined date are presented.

I've had bids accepted on presentation date, every Thursday in one case, where my bid was the lowest but it was cash more than once.

I had a feeling it would take more than the asking price to get this one.:sifone:

Dealing with National is not easy, but there are deals to be had. Sometimes they advertise them as deals, others you just have to make an offer to find out. I haven't had luck yet, but I'm sure there'll be more chances.

I agree, there's definitely deals over there. At this point I think there's going to be competing bids within the next week or so. A guy from my marina bought the 37' Active Thunder they had, it showed up here a few weeks ago.

How does that 37 look for real? I heard it was rough as in riden very hard and put away wet way too many times. I know it came outa Va or Maryland.

They close the bids on Monday, so if you're friend is bidding I'd tell him to be sure to have it in Monday.

Just fax it in and call and ask if they got it (you can leave off the CC info) instead of trying to talk to someone first.

PM and I can give you the cell of the guy I've been dealing with on a few past boats, who's pretty cool and is more reliable than just calling the office.

Is this the one that was at Lab Marine, or was another at National?

The Lab Marine one was bought by a guy on the boards, Laszlo (sp?) I believe. I think there were just a few paint issues on top, but otherwise pretty nice if I recall.

No I think the one you are talking about was Dockmanrich's old boat I think.
The one I'm talking about was white yellow orange blue red fades.
Rich's boat was Blue W Lighting bolts Very cool paint but had some clear coat problems but I thought Pat fixed that.

I haven't had a chance to meet the owner and get a look at it but from the outside everything looks to be in good shape. I surrendered my lift this year, he bought it and is keeping it in my old spot.

I'm sure we'll be making some runs together this summer.

You're right. Guess it's pretty bad when there are two 37 AT's out there like this.

That blue one is awesome.

Yup, thats the one. It was said to have a very bad mold problem, was left uncovered and wet for a long time. A few people looked at it when it was 4-sale up north and walked away upset. They are beautiful boats and to let one that new go is a shame. Hope the new owner takes care of it better.

Thanks for the info Cosmic. I know they just had a new cover made for it and when it was first launched it needed a lot of little things done so maybe that's true.

Just got off the phone with the old owner of the boat. Got some good info from him.

There has only been one owner since it left Bub's possession. The new owner turned it in. There's not a third party involved.

He doesn't know what happened to the trailer. He said he turned both boat and trailer in together.

He indicated that he put about 30 or so hours on the boat while he owned it. He said it was serviced every 10-15 hours. It was run in salt, but always flushed and rinsed thoroughly after every use.

The Apache logo mystery.....

This topic is still up in the air. He said the Apache name was still in the feather when he turned the boat in. He had no clue what was going on there. He indicated the was a small amount of dock rash on the port side in the feather. I believe Bubba said that was there when he sold the boat. Feel free to verify that with Bub.

He did say he turned the boat in about 4-5 months ago. Where has it been since then? Who took the trailer and painted over the Apache name? These are the questions that need answered. And of course, why did they do it?

He had the drives rebuilt at Doller shortly after purchasing the boat. He siad he also rebuilt the bases on the bolsters.

He said the boat was turnkey and well worth the $$$ when he turned it in. As long as no one has messed with it he wouldn't hesitate to own it for the kind of money that has been mentioned on here.

I spoke to Bub about this a few minutes ago. He will be at the lake all weekend. I don't know if he will look at this thread to give any input or not prior to Monday.

Hope that helps some...

Buck
