Anyone know the Bernie Madoff and Don Aronow connection?

Just read the book Blue Thunder which spells out a mob connection theory. Nice reading but there are a few current day updates that fit in the book written in 1990.......

I let a few people guess before I post the answer......

Not a lot of action here in 2 hours....... Aronow's wife Lillian hung out with Roxanne and Herb Pulitzer. Herb Pulitzer sold his house in Palm Beach to Bernie Madoff, the same house that he just lost to the government.


The other funny coincidence was Al Malnick who supposedly took over when Meyer Lansky died was recently in the headlines with the Michael Jackson death. Al told the press he was the guardian for MJ's older two kids. Guy had quite a menagerie of friends.......

I thought it was well written and the guy stuck to the theory, putting the pieces together one by one so when he completed the story it made sense. The government conspiracy angle was a little far fetched except the part about the supoena to be served the day after he got shot.

The Meyer Lansky angle was very intriguing and added a big part to the financial backing of a poor guy who knew how to get things done.
