Thanks. When I got the frogspawn it was on a single skeleton, so i fragged it into two pieces and now each half is about twice as big as the two were originally combined. I can't believe how fast that grows.
As far as the tube zoa, I believe it's a paleazoa, not a true zoanthid.

:)

Man these tanks are super trick! I just set up a 100 gallon freshwater tank. I'm in the cycling up phase right now (about 3 weeks in) so all I have is 12, er 10, er 8 goldfish as "test pilots"...

I don't think the fresh tropical stuff is all that cool, so I'd like to do a cold water North American system with some small blue gill, sunnies, crayfish and a couple of small pickerel (grass or American piickerel).

Of course my wife wants a big school of neons and some tropical stuff...

Excellent. Good luck with it. Tropical can be nice, there are a lot of neat fish and creatures you can stock it with; and don't forget the plants - they're great for nitrate export and oxygenation. Long live the "Test pilots." :D Often times they won't make it past the initial ammonia spike, but it can be done.

Beautiful. Is that a BTA? I think I'm about ready for an anemone; my clowns would be very happy.

Yes it is a Rose Bubble Tip. I think it is getting ready to split. My Frog spawn has 3 heads right now and last night i noticed a baby forming. Do you spot feed your Frog Spawn? I spot feed a little krill every couple of weeks. seems it has grown faster since I started to feed it. I used to have a nice rock of Zoa's but I had a Chocolate Chip Star fish that thought they tasted good and ate most of them while we were on vacation.

It's funny how you really start to root for $0.13 fish that were basically lining up to be someone's dinner, but I'm pulling for 'em! :D

Does anyone have any luck breeding feeder fish (goldfish or minnows)?

Nope, I don't target feed the frogspawn at all, he just lives off of the suspended phyto and zooplankton I broadcast feed about once a week. I do target feed the others though, a blend of mysise shrimp, cyclopeze and nori. I had to get rid of my stars for the same reason - they're little bulldozers that eat everything in their path. :D

Ya no kidding...I didn't expect my first two green cromis to make it very long, but they're troopers and have hung in there. They've become quite cool actually and are part of the family. :)

Cool! Brings back memories!

I was a fish nut as a teenager. Even worked in a pet shop. At one point I had 2 55's, a 30, and around a dozen 10's goin in the basement. I had fresh and saltwater.

The technology now is awsome. The best thing to come along when I was doin it was a UV sterilizer. When I had saltwater fish you could sell an established fish back to the shop for a profit!

I solved a few problems in my day. One of my favorite types of fish were trigger fish. The problem was if ya put 2 in the tank together they would fight to the death. Solution...I had I think 8 diffrent kinds of trigger fish in a 55 in my bedroom. They all survived! Them Fr's would wake me up in the middle of the night fighting! Forget about arranging the tank. It was there way no matter what you did. I have watched a 4 inch blue niger triggerfish pick up a 6 inch diameter piece of coral and move it across the tank! Them dudes had some personality too! And yes...I'm sure they had a good bite if ya let them....had an eel one time I had to feed live fish....would usually go through around 10 big guppies trying to get one to the eel. The triggerfish would snap them in half with one bite.

Other rarities for my time I had: A regal angel that would eat!, A huge lionfish that would eat tablet food, and the neatest....a small nurse shark! Did you know if you pick them up they squeel like a pig. I used to go to the river every few days and catch fish to fee him.

Wish I could have a tank now but am away from home too much. :(
