Rumors are running wild about the crash of Popeyes on Sunday, Stan is a close friend and we need to know he and crew are OK.

Stan and Jim were both at the awards ceremony.Jim looked pretty battered- wearing a nech brace and a big soft cast on his arm. Later Jim showed up at Ricks on Duval for a bit. I was told he returned to the hospital later. No other info at this point.

Jim is in ICU at Jackson Memorial in Miami.......he did not need surgery but is under observation for a stroke. His Aorta was stretched and swelled which caused a loss of pressure. They have the swelling under control and has regained feeling / movement in his right side. This info was from Schluess who is at the hospital. We will keep you updated. Please keep Jim in your thoughts.

Our prayers, can we keep this at the top? We were watching the pass attempt when it happened. Thought everyone was fine, now this.

Update from Stan as posted elsewhere a little bit ago......

I saw jim Wed morning at 1230 am and he is *****ing to go home. The cartoid artery and surrounding tissues were torn and when his system started clotting it sent small debris into diffrent areas of his brain, they will not increase the blood flow by stinting artery until they are sure the bleeding in brain has stopped and a good deal of the debris gone as it could cause worse things to happen.. The good news is that he has recovered his feeling in arms legs and his smile is becoming wholer. I smuggled him a smoothie from Berrys and he gulpedit down and asked for more. I talked to Annette this morning and our buddy has been sedated as he decided to leave this morning and they seemed to frown on that. For now he is sedated (courtesy of nurse he tried to skip out on) and resting and should be in reg room tomorrow. Great progress and prognosis! He was insisting we go over 09 season plans when doc's threw me out. He said tell Amsoil "it aint over! I have attached a clip that showed the pass where we flipped and were almost world champs for about 3 seconds. Keep up the prayers and good wishs here because I showed him on my I phone and he loved it.! Thanks to all from Jim.

Thanks
