I like it.

He has a great way of separating food and culture from politics in some effed up places. Makes you think.

Watching Indonesia now. He wonders if he can go back to New York. He may not.

You should have seen the pork. My God. Can we travel to Bali? I want that pork.

I like most of it until he went to Laos and apologized for the U.S. bombing their innocent country. kind of lost me after that.

yeah, that would do it. I didn't see that.

But i just learned more about Belfast in 8 minutes than I have known my entire life. Apparently the Guiness is very good there.

Hey Bob:

I have never heard a more heartfelt, generous and complimentary commentary about the USMC than from Tony reflecting on his time on the USS Nashville during his rescue from Beirut. Semper Fi.

Do they hold a lot of world records or something? Do people go there to break records due to the weather or oxygen content or something like that?

Thanks for posting this John.

I was able to catch it tonight (few hours later out here).
I like his show. Jody is always watching cooking channel stuff (Guy Fierri, Man v. Food, etc...) and I liked Bourdains show because it has as much to do with food as it does with culture and location.
Good show. I'm not sure about his politics (Take that as "I don't know what his politics are), but I won't take whatever they are away from the job he does.
He has a good show, he's entertaining, and he is a well spoken journalist that is also a down-to-earth guy that I can relate to.

And if his politics differ from mine, on a professional level, he seems to be able to divide his beliefs from his work, and maintain a neutral level.
I can appreciate that.
