Just in case you weren't feeling too old today .

The people who are starting college this fall w ere born in 1991.

They are too young to remember the space shuttle blowing up..

Their lifetime has always included AIDS .

The CD was introduced two years before they were born.

They have always had an answering machine.

They have always had cable..

Jay Leno has always been on the Tonight Show.

Popcorn has always been microwave d .

They never took a swim and thought about Jaws.

They don't know who Mork was or where he was from.

They never heard: 'Where's the Beef?', 'I'd walk a mile for a Camel ', or 'de plane Boss, de plane'.
McDonald's never came in Styrofoam containers.

They don't have a clue how to use a typewriter.

Pass this on to the other old fogies on your list.

P.S... Save the earth. It's the only planet with chocolate.

This stuff always makes me go wow, I have been around for awhile!
I remember when my parents first got cable TV with the box attached to the tv with a cord and the channel selector slid side to side from 2 - 13 and then the alphabet started. Always wondered why they didn't just add numbers.
I was home sick from school when the first space shuttle blew up.

I have been coaching my daughter's soccer team for many years, since she was 9....

My "aging" moment came when the players were driving themselves to practice.

My worst eye opener came when a group my daughter belongs to needed a song for a skit, I suggested "Rock around the Clock". All I got was blank looks, so I said you know Bill Haley and the Comets, more blank looks, so I said OK Happy Days theme song, more blank looks and What is Happy Days? Ouch that hurt

Popcorn has always been microwave d .

My kids are only 5 & 8, but they still think microwave popcorn sucks (and it's my fault).

About 2 years ago, I asked my wife to pick up some regular popcorn when she was food shopping. I remembered my Mom making popcorn on the stove when I was a kid, and for whatever reason, wanted to make some that way.

We now have a burnt up pot that's dedicated to making popcorn, and nobody in the house will eat microwave popcorn anymore.

I must say, being born in 1987, and being in my last year of university, it still amazes me when I walk around campus and see these first year students who are just so small and innocent looking. It's hard to believe I was the exact same 4 years ago. I was waiting in line in the food court the other day, and the girl in front me had to be no more then 4'8 and 80 pounds, she looked like she belonged in high school. I do however find it really funny the first couple weeks when you see freshmen walking around so clueless about where to go for their classes, and being all nervous. I remember that exact same feeling.

Mom still has a popcorn popper. I rembered thinking if mom broke out the popcorn popper, we were in for a boring day. Btw, we had two channels on the bw tv,

My gf's 21 year old daughter is back from Guam, where she's been stationed for three years . A guy about my age said her squadron should be known as the "Fighting Foxes". Tris told me she had never heard a good looking girl called a fox!

Now, I really feel old. :(
