He's always been a really nice & approachable guy, every time I've ever talked to him myself, or have just watched him from afar.
The first time I met him, was at the Annapolis Boat Show in either 93 or possibly 94. He was standing in Rusty Wallaces' new 42 that he'd just built for him. It was when Rusty was driving the MGD branded cars, so the boat was Black, Gold, Yellow, Red, etc. Even back then, which was when he was doing a LOT of races, AND winning, he talked to my Dad & I for probably 30 minutes or so, uninterrupted.
No matter what happens to him with the company, or how old he gets, he remains a great people person. Even when I'm 100% against whatever marketing ploy he's using, I will always like him because of that rare ability to make everyone feel happy to have met him. :cheers2:
