A New Low in American Law.

Good point Phragle.

I'm shopping life insurance right now. I have 1X base pay free from work, upping it since me and the woman bought a house together. Can't go too high- don't want to be worth more dead than alive which some may debate I'm over insured already.

Just remember Mark you buy life insurance with your health, meaning it's cheaper now when your young, and yes I'm worth more dead then alive, but it does keep you on your toes:sifone:

Yea- I should have gotten it about 5 years ago but I was never going to get married back then so it didn't matter. Story of my life- Coulda woulda shoulda woulda got me a house in the Keys by now!

IRS has an innocent spouse clause so wonder if that could come in to play on them going after his estate for his taxes since the wife would now most likely be entitled to his estate?

If she signed the returns (joint return) she could be on the hook but if they were married filing separately then he beat the system!

Work comp and His gov't pension. Surviving spouse gets over half his salary right?
Doesnt make it right but the Lawyer wont make it RIGHT either.
