A gun topic with a twist.

As a secondary benefit, he's now very afraid of making my little princess cry or be sad in any way. And I no longer have to concern myself as to where they are- or more importantly where his hands are.

I picked up a girl in high school for a first date and her dad was cleaning a revolver when I walked in the door (soley for intimidation purposes). I walked over and introduced myself and then said "nice choice on the 629 classic, is it the .44mag, or sp?" The look on his face was absolutly priceless as I had compleltey ruined the fun he thought he was going to have. My date had to pry me out the door becase her dad and I were getting deep into gun talk and I didnt want to leave.:biggrinjester:

I had the opportunity to shoot a few rounds thru an MP5 on f/a, must say I was very surprised with the balance and control it had emptying clips :03:

It's the gold standard for tactical SMG's. HK has attempted several times to discontinue it. The world doesn't want to buy their plastic guns.

The FBI has their own version- chambered in 10mm (with the equivalent ballistics to the 357 magnum). It's a real trip to shoot.

HK actually makes what they call an HK 53. It's a full-auto version of the 5.56 chambered HK 93, but it's the same size as an MP5. While never officially produced by HK, some hobbyists have picked up on the 53 and created whatthey term an HK 51. Playing off the HK 93 theme they do the conversion on an HK 91 (7.62x51 cal). It's a major flamethrower and is about as loud as a 50cal.

Word of advice

Stay the hell away from Chris when it comes to guns. Before you know it he will have you buying and building things that you never knew existed, and none of it is cheap.;):sifone:

I love the **** out of that gun. Id love an MP5, but its hard to justify that kind of $$ when I have too many other expensive hobbies.

Here's my perspective:

My dad has a rifle somewhere in the house. He got it when he was in the Navy and apparently taught my mom to shoot it when they were dating. I don't know if it didn't occur to him to teach me or what. I have never seen him take it out or shoot it. Two of my uncles were also in the military (Navy and Marines) but I don't think that either one of them shoots. My one uncle seems kind of interested in Tony's guns though.

The vast majority of my friends do not own any firearms at all. I can only think of two off hand. A few more think they know how to handle them. I have my doubts after seeing one of them look down the barrel of one of Tony's handguns though. The person in question couldn't imagine why you'd keep a loaded gun in the house.

I've always thought (in a vague kind of way) that everyone should at least know basic safety and how to shoot. I had fun when Tony was teaching me and I like to shoot but it isn't a priority for me. I'd really like to be good a shooting trap because it looks like so much fun but frankly I suck at it.

My wife and I are taking my daughter's to Texas over Spring Break on a hunting trip. We decide to not spend a bunch of money on a big trip this year. My partner has a 22,000 acre lease down there that I like to go Hog hunt on. My girls have been after me for two years to take them down. He has to girls about the same age as mine that love to hunt that will be going along with us. (him and his wife will be there too) It's all these girls have talked about for the past six weeks.

I honestly never thought I would see the day I had two daughters that would be excited about spending five days in the middle of nowhere stocking wild game.

I'm pumped...

I rented an MP5 once and I think I am the only guy in the world who ever had one jam every magazine.

Handles nice though. Better than a UMP.

I love HK, my USP .45 is a wicked reliable pistol.

Wouls love to buy an SL8 for shooting foxes and coyotes. Cant do that with my AR in Canuckistan.....gun club only says big brother...

the sk has a gernade launcher, alas I sold my morter launcher a few years ago. Did you know that the chemical cold paks contain pure amonium nitrate? not the watered down fertalizer stuff... gasoline is much more effective when mixed with tide (powder not liquid) and styrofoam.

I was kidding bout the girls gun comment BTW lol.

as far as the rest of this...you learn something new every day!!:26:

Anyone here own a G3?
