KILLEEN, Texas - Seven are reported dead and 12 are wounded at a violent incident at Ft. Hood base in Killeen, Texas Thursday afternoon.
The shootings took place at the House Theater and at the Soldier Preparation Center. To fully understand the location of these buildings, look at this map.
Ft. Hood is on lockdown currently. Both school districts near the post - Temple ISD and Belton ISD - are on soft lockdown also.
One person is in custody, but another suspect is still on the loose. A SWAT team is on their way to the post.

One person is in custody in connection with the incident, CNN affiliate KXXV reported.
One attacker has been "neutralized" and one has been "cornered," Lt. Gen Russel Honore, former deputy commander at Fort Hood, told CNN.

Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan? WTF??
WASHINGTON — A law enforcement official says a shooting suspect at Fort Hood has been identified as Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
The official said Hasan, believed to be in his late 30s, was killed after opening fire at the base. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the case publicly.
The official says investigators are trying to determine if Hasan was his birth name, or if he changed his name and converted to the Islamic faith at some point in his life.

That part of Texas is a hot spot for gunfire gone bad......
Same area was were the guy drove his truck into Luby's restaurant and killed 12 in 1991 and in 1993 Waco had a meltdown. This base is kind of in the middle.
