48' MTI catches fire at LOTO during shootout

Heard that a 48' MTI caught fire during the shootout yesterday. Boats name was Mary Mac.... All are ok except for the boat...

I was watching it live. It looked as if there were flames during its run, but then they disappeared. Then, after the run, they were fighting the fire with two fireboats.

Yeah. We were supposed to go on a Charter fishing trip yesterday, 5 to 7's here so it got cancelled. That was the only reason we're not at LOTO. Pizzes me off now.:cuss: It was a business trip deal we couldn't get out of.....

I have not heard anything official yet....

I was at the lake when the fire started, they were about 1/4 mile away.

I have not heard anything here as to how it started.

Must have just been a bad day ...
Yesterday my diehard that runs a 12 volt (harbor freight junk ) pump BLEW up and caught the plastic battery box on fire on my floating raft/pool slide.
Crowd on my beach and the neighbor's. BOOM then smoke rolling as all the stiinky plastic melted
I doubt my repair bill will be anything near the MTIs...but my raft ain't turning heads or setting records at LOTO either

BTW: Hope the best for the turbine boat, crew, and fixes!
