465 Horse Merc 502 and 1993 235 Persuader...?s

I had never heard of a 465 horse 502 before...any thoughts on these?

Also wondering about the good and bad of a 1993 235 Checkmate Persuader. I am pretty familiar with the 25 Convincor. Obviously shallower V, flatter, less freeboard, no bolsters, so not as suited for ROUGH stuff, but any input...?

Doug "Boatally Insane" had a 235, dont know model but looks just like yours,
he got it running mid 80s with a stroked 502 and 600hp, handful to drive though as you can see in the video

He ended up getting rid of it, Lake Travis gets way too rough on busy weekends for it....

i can tell u with a SM high T III and weiand team G intake these are a very cool engine ! and make good power !

It was the motor before the hp 500 , same came crane 731 , intake dart . It is 502 motor.

correct, but with a team G and the stainless exhaust the beast came alieve !!
i also think we changed the carb to a 750-800
all good parts inside..no doubt !
