42 PR with 700's?

Did it sell since you posted it? I don't see any 42 Poker Run's listed, only Lightnings. The 42 PR is a sit down boat/4 seats no cabin.

the only poker run they had...started with 525efi's then switched to 600 sci's and then possibly sold...since it is no longer listed...

I had one for events in 05/06 w/ 525's. boat ran a solid 95 with me Cash Bar and a couple blow up dolls :).

I think the 600 boat was right at 98/99. I think a 700 boat would be 106ish+. Just a guess.

A friend of mine bought the one you are referring to. He traded in the 38' Awesome Cat pictured in my Avatar plus some $ for it. The 42pr is only running in the 90s right now but he is getting different props put on that should have it over the 100mph mark.

The bravo drives are the weakpoint on a 525/600 42 PR so I figured someone would have fixed this by building a 700/NXT/#6 boat.

They absolutely are. The starboard drive on my buddy's snapped last weekend and completely destroyed EVERYTHING. We were only cruising at 3k RPM and the water was glass.. He only had the boat 2 days at that point :ack2:

I've had 3 42's. All with B1 XR's w/ sporty lowers. I never had ONE drive problem. Including a 42 w/ 600's that I ranHARD

I know it's not exactly what you're looking for but in the Powerboat magazine, there was a 42 PR with 710 Illmor's with ASD 8's.

It's all about the sticks guys. Learn the boat and throttle accordingly

I agree but in his case, there's nothing to learn when cruising at 3k rpm's on water as smooth as glass and the drive just deciding to go. Freak accidents do happen.
